Domino
Lance (AKA Pooh Bear) & Dominošs New Home
Lance and Domino were shy boys and best friends at the shelter. They were adopted by a wonderful woman that was willing to give both of them a chance. This is what their new family had to say: "They are best buddies; they meow if one goes into another room and then they play together and snuggle up together for their naps. The two of them are having lots of fun exploring their new home. They are good company for me when I return from work each day, they are waiting for me. I love them both so much: I don't know what I'd do without them now."

LJ
The Loss of a Friend and A Happy Ending: LJ and Lightening's New Home
Two brothers given a chance at a loving home together: "Our 13 y.o. Grey tabby died four weeks before we met the cats at Kitty Rescue and Adoption. Our 6 y.o. black cat cried for her friend, as did her owners. Thus began the pilgrimage to find another cat. The photo on the Internet of LJ, a Siamese, caught our eye, and off we went to Jaffrey, an hour drive from our house. We were delighted with the cats at Kitty Rescue. There were so many kinds, colors, and personalities! Looking in LJ's room, we were welcomed by Lightning, a buff-colored tiger. 'Take me home', he said. LJ, on the other hand, was shy and disinterested. So, despite LJ's good looks, Lightning came home with us. Once home, Lightning settled in but missed his pals. I returned to KRA to find a pal, and LJ was recommended as he would do well with another KRA cat, particularly since he was brother to Lightning. LJ had tried and failed at adoption before, and a dual adoption would be good for him. Now together, the 3-y.o. brothers are delightful, galloping around the house, playing with toys, wrestling with squeals and squawks, chirping to each other and us; they have filled a big void left by our 13 y.o. tabby. The 6 y.o. old sister is tolerant and benevolent and sometimes joins in the fun. She cries no more as there are always two boys to watch over."

Dewey
  Dewey's (AKA Prancer) New Home
"In early February, two humans from Massachusetts came into the shelter to meet me. They had just lost their 10-year-old cat, Willie (short for 'will he be the last one'), who had suffered a sudden and completely unexpected heart attack. I must have reminded them of him. Upon arriving at my new home, I met Fletcher and Shirley. Fletcher (named after the children's book 'How Fletcher Was Hatched') is the elder statesman of the group at 13 years of age. He didn't warm up to me for the first few weeks or so, probably because I reminded him of Willie, who would always want to wrestle with him. But, now I've worn him down! We're getting to be good buddies. Eight-year-old Shirley (short for 'surely Willie wasn't the last one') is a little 'stand-offish' to me but I'm cool with that. I get along just fine with her. These humans also have some betta fish in two fish bowls. These fish just keep swimming around ignoring me. I try to reach in to play with them but, so far, no luck. I've even tried tapping on the side of the tank to get their attention but they just won't bite! So, life is good! I'm thoroughly enjoying my new home and I'm so glad that these humans first discovered me through the www.kittyrescueandadoption.org website! By the way, they also changed my name from Prancer to Dewey (as in 'do we need another one')."

Morris
  Morris's (AKA Rocky) New Home
This is truly a success story. A family saw a picture of Morris on our site and contacted us because they thought he was their kitty Rocky that went missing 3 years ago. They met him and a family was reunited: "Rocky is doing awesome, it was like he never left! Within an hour he was sleeping with our dog just like the old days. We are still in shock. Thank you for all that you did at the shelter to care for him."

Chunk
  Chunk's New Home
This big guy was a favorite at the shelter. Here is what his new family has to say: "Chunk has been with us for three weeks and we are so happy that he is a part of our family! We call him our gentle giant (he weighs about 20 pounds) and he is so laid-back, affectionate and smart! Because he was a rescued cat and spent 1.5 years with you, we thought that we would have tons of behavior problems with him but after 2 only days, he decided that he liked us and was happy to be with us. We can't look at him without smiling!!! Because of you, loving, healthy and well-adjusted kitties can find forever homes."

Munch
  Munch's New Home
This senior kitty captured the heart of a volunteer that knew he needed to be hers: "There was something about Munch. This old silver kitty had the most endearing, gentle personality. He was 12 and I knew he had to be mine. When I sat down on the couch in Timmy's room (where he lived at KRA), he would jump up and settle in right next to me, or on my lap. He didn't like to be held, but that didn't matter. Adopting a senior cat isn't something many people would consider, but it is a decision my husband and I have never regretted. Within 24 hours of being in his new forever-home, Munch found the way into our hearts."

Sunny
  Sunny and Angel's New Home
Two special kitties find a wonderful home together: "We adopted two kitties from you and they are like our children now. We just adore them! We have as many pictures of them as we do of our kids and grandkids! They have brought us so much joy, love, and laughter. Thank you so much for making it possible for us to adopt them! I think these two guys are probably the most spoiled kitties in the entire world, but that's ok, we love them! Here are some photos. Sunny is checking to see if Santa has come yet, and Angel is keeping a close on oh everything!"
